Leighton O’Brien today announced the promotion of Mahir Hodzic to Operations Manager (Europe and Africa). The key appointment will accelerate growth of global field technologies operations.
Formerly Business Development Engineer (Asia Pacific), Mr Hodzic will lead the commercial, business development and engineering functions of Leighton O’Brien’s growing European and African field technologies business including precision tank integrity testing, fuel restoration and tank cleaning.
The role will involve executing a growth-focused commercial strategy to expand testing and cleaning in new markets and maximise return on investment through Leighton O’Brien’s licensed service partners and customers.
Commenting on the appointment, Leighton O’Brien General Manager for Distributors, Jason Park said: “Building on our emerging market position in the European and African fuel retail markets is a key part of our global growth strategy. This appointment will accelerate our growing network of licensed service partners seeking the most advanced, certified leak detection system and a safer, faster, more effective tank and fuel cleaning process for optimum product quality.
“Like other global markets, Europe and Africa have moved to modern fuel formulations which is driving the need for best in class fuel system testing and cleaning technologies for both optimum risk management and maximum asset utilisation.
Mr Park said during his five years at Leighton O’Brien, Mr Hodzic has excelled in the positions of Operations Engineer and more recently Business Development Engineer (Asia). He has also played a critical role in the implementation of the company’s new precision tank test from an engineering, planning, training and technical support perspective.
