Leighton O’Brien has expanded its global fuel cleaning operations into South East Asia following a Licensed Service Partnership agreement with fuel retail solutions provider, Flowco Malaysia.

The agreement expands Flowco Malaysia’s suite of Leighton O’Brien technologies to include integrity testing, tank cleaning and fuel restoration. Flowco Malaysia’s fully trained and safety certified technicians will now deliver Leighton O’Brien’s market-leading fuel cleaning and restoration technology, supported by reporting from highly qualified analysts and expert fuel data analysis.

Managing director of Flowco Malaysia, Omar Mohamed Said, said: “Through this expanded partnership, we will be able to grow our business in Asia by broadening our services portfolio through Leighton O’Brien’s patented fuel cleaning and restoration technologies for underground fuel storage systems.

“Our current and future customers will benefit from their advanced technologies which don’t require manned entry, providing for safe, fast and effective cleaning procedures with the least fuel losses for operators.

Leighton O’Brien Head of International Distributors, Jason Park, said: “This is a pivotal milestone for the growth of our fuel cleaning business globally.

“Fuel quality is a global industry issue – none more so than in Asia due to humid and wet climate conditions which can create frequent microbial contamination and phase separation issues caused by water ingress.

“We are excited to be extending our fuel cleaning and restoration technologies into Asia through our partnership with Flowco Malaysia. This agreement strengthens our partnership with Flowco, who are well positioned to bring our fuel polishing technologies into the Asian market.

Mr Said said Flowco is progressing significant fuel retail market opportunities.
