Leighton O’Brien has commenced the year on a high following key staff appointments announced across its global and domestic operations.
The company has appointed Pete Neil as Vice President, National Sales (USA) across its Field Technologies and Wetstock divisions.
With nearly 30 years’ experience in the US petroleum equipment industry via Gilbarco Veeder-Root and OPW, Pete has most recently been Strategic Sales Manager at OPW. Pete will be based in Louisiana, and will be serving customers and building Leighton O’Brien’s national account portfolio for pre bury post bury testing and fuel cleaning.
Leighton O’Brien CEO Reed Leighton said: “Pete is an important addition to our business as we continue to focus on strong revenue growth and driving huge opportunities in the US market.”
Also joining the company is Brad Del Fante in the role of Operations Engineer in Field Technologies, based in Sydney. With more than a decade of experience in downstream petroleum with companies such as Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Wincor Nixdorf, FuelQuest and most recently Dover Fueling Solutions, Brad brings a wealth of knowledge to a role whereby he will lead training programs in addition to supporting operations and engineering, predominantly across Asia.
The company also announced that after seven years during which he has been instrumental in building Leighton O’Brien’s North American cleaning operation to become the largest distributor network, US President Jeff Davis will move to a part time consulting role, effective March 1.
While Jeff is stepping away from full-time management responsibilities, he will continue to liaise with existing US channel partners and provide broader guidance to the business as it transitions to a new structure.
“I want to thank Jeff for his significant contribution to our business, helping to grow Leighton O’Brien into the US market leader for fuel cleaning,” Mr Leighton said.
The company also announced the appointment of Sally Locke as Head of Marketing and Communications. Sally has been a long term consultant to Leighton O’Brien and will move into a full time role in early March.
“Sally has been instrumental in defining and building the brand globally,” Mr Leighton said. “We are looking forward to stepping up our marketing activity as we continue to exponentially grow our market share and brand presence.”
