Leighton O'Brien is led by a global executive team made up of individuals who are knowledge leaders in the areas of tank integrity, leak detection, wet stock inventory management, fuel storage and tank and fuel cleaning in both the retail and commercial sectors.
Each member represents a specific function, managing the associates that contribute to achieving Leighton O'Brien's day-to-day and long-term strategies goals and objectives.
The executive team takes client priorities on board as they help prioritise Leighton O'Brien's approach to serving the community in terms of compliance, operational risk mitigation and efficiency.

Reed is an acknowledged expert in optimising the management of storage tank networks with a career spanning over 22 years in the Oil Industry. Reed began his career at Shell Australia where he was responsible for the management of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) for Shell's Australian Retail and Distribution Network. Recognising a need for the better management of storage and wet stock tank management through outsourcing, Reed joined with Shell colleague, Steve O'Brien, to form Leighton O'Brien. The company originally provided SIRA and compliance testing to the retail petroleum market in Australia. It has now grown to provide SIRA, compliance testing, pre and post bury services, bio fuel management and changeovers, and tank and fuel cleaning services to retail and commercial users around the world. Reed consistently engages with clients to assist them in improving their business practices to maintain better management of their storage networks and wet stock and, most importantly to improve their bottom line. Reed is a well-known industry knowledge leader and is regularly seen on the industry speaking circuit. Reed received a B.A in Business (with distinction) from Curtin University in Australia. |

Steve is responsible for building the technology behind Leighton O'Brien's signature SIRA systems. He has developed the intellectual property of the SIRA systems and other elements of the Leighton O'Brien service offerings. Steve began his career in UST technology solutions at Shell where he was environment engineer responsible for all environmental standards for the Shell retail network. Steve co-founded Leighton O'Brien with his colleague Reed Leighton in 1995. Steve drives the research and development of all of the leading edge technology Leighton O'Brien provides to the petroleum majors. He is an industry thought leader who constantly observes current market practices and develops improved solutions that keep Leighton O'Brien's solutions at the leading edge of the market. As a Non Executive Director of Leighton O'Brien's Board of Directors, Michael takes an active role in the company's corporate structuring. His business and legal experience adds valuable insight to the company on many levels. Michael has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, including business restructuring, corporate succession planning, commercial litigation, intellectual property and intellectual property licensing. Michael is a chairman and director of a number of boards, both publicly listed and private companies, including aviation, financial services and environmental businesses. He is actively connected to national and international networks and has consistently demonstrated commercial acumen and leadership with a track record of commercially focused strategic advice. |

Based in Leighton O'Brien's headquarters in Melbourne, Andrew brings a wealth of experience to running the day-to-day financial activities of the company as well as the strategic financial planning to the company's various products, services and licensing agreements. Andrew began his career at Leigh Mardon, a security printing and electronic banking terminal manufacturer, where from 1990 to 1999 he held various accounting roles such as divisional accountant and later group cost accountant. He then moved to an IT company as Financial Controller. Over his tenure at this SME, he worked with staff to provide clients an integrated accounting solution to meet their business needs and successfully grew the business from 1M to 5M. Based in Australia, Peter leads Leighton O'Brien's global operations team. Peter is a long-standing knowledge leader at Leighton O'Brien. A mechanical engineer, Peter joined the company 10 years ago from the Petro Chem industry in Victoria where he spent 10 years at ExxonMobil working as an operations engineer and shift manager. Peter first joined the Leighton O'Brien team managing testing in Victoria and New South Wales, and was later promoted to National Operations Manager for Australia. This role later expanded into NZ and Asia. Peter is responsible for the training and development of Leighton O'Brien's field technicians and setting operations standards and procedures for company. Peter received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (with distinction) from RMIT University, Australia. |

Located in Singapore, George leads a team of Local Service Providers (LSPs) based throughout Asia. These LSPs provide Tank & Line Integrity Testing to major oil companies in their respective countries. One of the most experienced members of the Leighton O'Brien team, George has spent over 25 years in the petroleum industry working for leaders like Shell, Mobil and Exxon Mobil. George, a mechanical engineer, began his career at Shell before moving to Mobil and subsequently ExxonMobil. He held various roles during his tenure at these majors which included responsibility for maintenance and repair in refinery and retail service stations and contracts and procurement services. Asian clients of Leighton O'Brien benefit greatly from George's depth of industry knowledge and his ability to use this in his daily practice and service delivery. |

Based in Maryland, Steve Holbrook leads the East Coast operations team for the U.S. division of Leighton O'Brien. Steve brings over 15 years of industry experience to Leighton O'Brien. He has extensive knowledge of tank testing, line testing, Stage II vapor recovery testing, and tank monitor system installation and service. Steve began his career with a nationwide testing company as a field technician and was promoted several times, ultimately attaining the position of Mid Atlantic operations manager. In 2002, Steve founded Holbrook Environmental, Inc. He successfully operated all aspects of his business for over seven years before merging Holbrook Environmental with Leighton O'Brien in January 2010. Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Towson University in Maryland. |

Based in Australia, Tanith leads Leighton O'Brien's wet stock monitoring/SIRA global team to ensure accurate and reliable delivery of all important tank monitoring data to individual and lager global contracts around the world. Tanith began her career at BHP working as part of the company's Global Petroleum Exploration team. In 2000, after five years at BHP, Tanith used the experience she gained to become Leighton O'Brien's first SIRA analyst. As Leighton O'Brien and its customer base grew, Tanith moved into an account management role where she advised and managed large accounts. She then advanced to manage the Global SIRA Team and associated functions in 2008. Tanith received a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology & Environmental Science) from University of Ballarat. |

As the International Business Development Manager for Leighton O'Brien's SIRA offering, Leah is responsible for advising potential clients around the world on the value and benefits of using SIRA to easily and comprehensively manage their total tank network. Leah joined Leighton O'Brien in 2007. Prior to joining Leighton O'Brien, Leah worked as a cytogeneticist at Cytogenic Services in Melbourne, Australia. Leah began her career at Leighton O'Brien working as a SIRA analyst for the company's major global accounts. It is this extensive experience on which Leah relies to provide expert guidance on cetralised wet stock management to clients. She has a BSc. degree in Genetics and Psychology from the University of Melbourne in Australia. |

Steve is responsible for overseeing Leighton O'Brien's market-leading IT infrastructure and services. For much of his career, Steve has been focused on assuring delivery of technology-based projects through effective leadership of development and/or operational teams ranging in size from ten to forty staff across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, automotive and banking & finance. Steve began his career in the UK as a database developer with Polk UK, a UK-based data mining and marketing company supporting the automotive industry. There Steve headed up technology support and development for key European markets before being asked to establish a local IT operation in Australia. This operation included the procurement/commissioing of IT infrastructure, the hiring of technology personnel and the migration of proprietary software systems. Steve led the technology team in Australia for a further eight years managing key technology deliveries for the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries and various major vehicle manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand. Following this experience, Steve spent a year supporting National Foods in the migration of their legacy database systems to SAP, working with local and overseas teams by leading the data migration stream. This data migration was awarded the SAP implementation of the Year Award. Before joining Leighton O'Brien in 2009, Steve spent nearly four years at National Australia Bank where one of his more notable accomplishments was the management of the processing of the U.S. Dollar Repo (U.S. economic crisis payout) within the Market Risk division of then nabCapital. |
